Sam Heaps is the author of the novella The Living god (SARKA 2025) the memoir Proximity (Clash 2023) and the essay collection, Immolation Cycle, forthcoming from Future Tense February 2027.

Their work has been featured places such as The Brooklyn Rail, Bomb Magazine, Bright Wall / Dark Room, Brink Magazine, etc.

Heaps was raised in Idaho but has lived and worked internationally and across the US. They teach writing at Temple University in Philly.
